How-to Adjust Microphone Sensitivity on Windows & macOS

This article will help you adjust your device's microphone sensitivity.

Quick Take: To adjust microphone sensitivity, open Sound Settings.

Instructions

Windows 10:

1. Right-click on the “Speaker” icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen and select “Sound Settings”

   

2. Find “Input” then select your input device in the drop-down menu

   

3. Click on the blue “Device properties” link

   

4. This will display the Microphone Properties window.

   1. Click the “Levels” tab to adjust your microphone volume settings
      

      

macOS:

1. Go to “System Preferences” located in your device’s dock

   

2. Select the “Sound” icon

   

3. Select the “Input” tab and you will see an option to adjust the microphone's “input volume”
