Inviting a Witness with a Shared Link

Quick Take: When inviting a Witness to the deposition using a shared link there are additional steps that must be taken.

Instructions

1. First, invite your Witness to the deposition using the Shared Link, please see How-to Add Attendees to a New Deposition

   1. When the Shared link has been enabled, the deposition room browser URL may also be used to copy and share with other users to join the deposition

2. Once The Witness has used the Shared Link to join the Deposition they will be added as a Video Counsel attendee and will not be present in the Witness Video Placeholder Box.

3. As the Host, navigate to the Edit Deposition page where the attendees are listed
   

   

4. Find the newly added Counsel Attendee that needs to be prompted to the Witness role and click the Edit Button
   

   

5. Change the Role from “Counsel” to “Witness” and click “Save”
   

   

6. The Witness will now refresh automatically and be prompted to the Witness Role and correct place in the Deposition Room
